Congratulations Sarah and Cam (and Gatsby)

Thank you to my bestie Minh for the opportunity to photograph this wedding for Du Soleil Photography based in Philly / NYC and shout out to Keri Tan an amazing photographer as well for being there to make these photographs possible. Cannot wait to see and share the film images we photographed. Montauk and Sole East were a dream to visit and I can’t wait to go back to see David, Thomas, Sean, and everyone there again! Congratulations to Sarah, Cam, and their families on this beautiful wedding!

Brooklyn Bridge Engagement

Fine Art Film Engagement Photos near Brooklyn Bridge Park, New York City shot on Kodak Film

Michael and Rachel met in New York City at a subway stop and found out they both were engineers. Fast forward a few years and they were both working together to design the glass for the One World Trade Center. They asked me to photograph their engagement around Brooklyn Bridge Park near the water and on the bride and around Brooklyn before their wedding in Virginia. This stands out to me as one of my favorite shoots on film photography because the light that day was spectacular for her red dress and his light blue shirt. We had the best time at the carousel in the park and I loved the views of the skyline in the back across the water. Thank you Michael and Rachel for choosing me to be your photographer!

Abbie + Shaman New York City Hall Wedding on Film

New York City Hall Wedding

One thing to love about new york weddings is the shotgun style elopements and marriages that happen at city hall. If you’ve never been to New York, it’s downtown in lower Manhattan near the water by the other large courthouses. Abbie and Shaman got in touch with me to photograph their city hall ceremony shotgun wedding style. This was so fun because it was just the three of us and I was their official witness! They let me sign the paperwork and everything haha! That was a first for me.

You’ll love that we ended up getting ice cream at one of their favorite places in town, Morgenstern’s NYC! I had the Cardamom Lemon Jam and it was TO DIE FOR!

If you’re thinking about doing a small ceremony and getting the marriage license at a courthouse I highly recommend it. There is less stress and hassle and no expectations at all from family or guests whatsoever. You can really plan out a fun afternoon for your fiancé and yourself and make it your own.

Abbie and Shaman were amazing to work with and made this wedding day incredible for me to be at. Thank you Abbie for hiring me as your photographer for a wonderful afternoon out in the city and congratulations on your new marriage!
