Abbie + Shaman New York City Hall Wedding on Film

New York City Hall Wedding

One thing to love about new york weddings is the shotgun style elopements and marriages that happen at city hall. If you’ve never been to New York, it’s downtown in lower Manhattan near the water by the other large courthouses. Abbie and Shaman got in touch with me to photograph their city hall ceremony shotgun wedding style. This was so fun because it was just the three of us and I was their official witness! They let me sign the paperwork and everything haha! That was a first for me.

You’ll love that we ended up getting ice cream at one of their favorite places in town, Morgenstern’s NYC! I had the Cardamom Lemon Jam and it was TO DIE FOR!

If you’re thinking about doing a small ceremony and getting the marriage license at a courthouse I highly recommend it. There is less stress and hassle and no expectations at all from family or guests whatsoever. You can really plan out a fun afternoon for your fiancé and yourself and make it your own.

Abbie and Shaman were amazing to work with and made this wedding day incredible for me to be at. Thank you Abbie for hiring me as your photographer for a wonderful afternoon out in the city and congratulations on your new marriage!

Mariah + Carlyle New York City Super 8 Film Videographer

I shot this super 8 film in New York City for Mariah Bucu who is an amazing wedding photographer herself. She was married to Carlyle this last October and we had the best time making medium format photographs on a Contax 645 as well as the super 8 film for her wedding. They had the most stunning view over Central Park for their ceremony thanks to some friends who lent them their gorgeous penthouse in Manhattan. It was a dream location, dream client, perfect weather, and a day to remember. They even treated their guests to a luxury sailing yacht cruise after the ceremony around Manhattan for the evening! To die for! Thank you for watching! - Dottie Morris

Reed + Ally San Diego Wedding Photographer

I was in Los Angeles for 72 hours and decided to go see my friends Reed and Ally in San Diego to do this shoot! I came up with the concept to shoot high end formal wear at a low key location so we chose the beach and made it happen. I Brought some champagne to open for sunrise and Ally and Reed styled themselves with their best vintage finds in their closet. WE MADE THIS WERK! I loved shooting the super 8 film which will hopefully be released later since the camera died in the water we are not sure yet if the film will come out. However, these photos came out beautifully and I am happy to share them with you! Also there will be 1 roll of 35mm film coming as well. Reed gave me a roll of black and white 35mm film as a thank you gift and I think I’ll keep it forever or until I ask him to shoot my wedding since he and Ally are both amazing photographers as well. You can check out his work here and Ally’s work here. Enjoy from all of us in sunny San Diego! Stay Classy!

Mariah + Carlyle New York City Central Park Wedding Photographer

Mariah and Carlyle were married standing on top of the world at a friend’s stunning Manhattan Penthouse in New York City. The weather was perfect for an intimate ceremony planned by Biename overlooking Central Park. The space was modern and posh and fit their 20 guests perfectly in great style! One of the highlights of the day was our surprise visit from a friendly falcon that came to perch on the ledge before the ceremony began. Mariah wore a Shona Joy gown, Christian Louboutin shoes, Oscar de la Renta ring and earrings, and a gorgeous bespoke hat from Claraele Millinery that stole the show. Carlton wore a custom suit, shirt, and bow tie made by House of Billionaire New York, Salvatore Ferragamo shoes, Montblanc cufflinks, a Breitling watch, and carried his grandfather’s vintage film. This was extremely unique and special as Mariah is a photographer herself and she brought along her old Canon film camera to take snaps of guests and family throughout the day! After enjoying a meal catered by Socarrat Paella bar and some cake by Daniel Andreotti at Oheka Castle their guests were surprised with a luxury sailing yacht tour cruising around the Manhattan for the evening.
